A sentence can be grammatically correct and still leave the reader unsure what to do. Start with the point of the message and the person reading it. Tools can help with editing, but your purpose and judgment should lead the process.

Write the point in one sentence

Before drafting, finish this sentence: ‘After reading this, the reader should know or do…’ Keep that answer visible as you write. An email asking for a decision needs a different structure from a guide explaining a complicated subject.

Move the main point near the beginning. Follow it with the evidence or context the reader needs. Cut details that do not change their understanding or help them act.

Edit in useful passes

PassWhat to check
StructureDoes each paragraph develop one useful point?
ClarityCan a reader understand who does what?
ToneDoes the wording suit the situation?
AccuracyAre names, figures, links and claims correct?

Checking everything at once makes it easy to polish a sentence that does not belong in the draft. Work on organization first, then the individual sentences. Leave spelling and punctuation for a later pass.

Use suggestions as decisions

Grammarly offers writing assistance. When a tool suggests a change, read the whole sentence and decide whether the revision preserves your meaning, audience and voice. A smoother sentence is not an improvement if it changes the claim.

Review generated text against your sources. A writing assistant does not replace checking facts, citations or technical terminology. For confidential work, review the product’s privacy settings and your organization’s rules before uploading material.

Test with a real example

Try a tool on a short piece of your own writing. Note which suggestions are useful, which are unnecessary, and which you reject. This gives you a better basis for choosing a plan than a long feature list.

Before paying, check that the features you want work in the apps and languages you use. Confirm the current plan details and renewal terms on the official site. If the free tools already solve your problem, keep the money for a different need.
